Remember to include your website on any and all marketing materials such as you’re letterhead, business card, any signage, and your answering machine.  Anywhere you would list your phone number, you should also list your website address.
   
When telemarketing, set proper expectations.  Use the telemarketing process to find leads, but also to fill in critical information on your call list such as; the proper contact name, email address, and the name of the product they're currently using.  This information is invaluable for future marketing efforts.  By obtaining this information, you’ll be able to build an email prospect list, and be able to market to specific types of users based on market changes.   For example, if you identify a client who is using a product that becomes discontinued down the road, you’ll have the perfect list for a highly successful marketing campaign. 
   
Drive traffic to your site by providing links to your product pages in newsletters, and direct mail pieces.  If you use your website as a landing page for communications, you’ll accomplish two goals.  First you’ll drive traffic to your site, thus being able to introduce your clients to all the products you sell, and second this process will force you to continually update your website.  The more you update your site, the better chance you’ll show up in the search engines.
   

Always remember the follow up. Your customers are constantly being targeted by your competitors.  It’s important to constantly stay in front of your customer promoting all of your products and services. Excellent customer services is required prior to, during, and after the sale.

   

Don't assume that you're clients know all the products and services that you offer. Make them aware of it in a monthly communication or newsletter. If you sell accounting software, don’t assume your clients know that you offer a CRM solution, or an ecommerce application.  If you don’t educate your clients on all of your offerings then, you will run the risk of losing them to your competition.
